About Michael Hague, Sr.
Michael relocated to High Point in 1996. He holds a B.S. in Computer Information Systems from Nova Southeast University and an M.B.A. in Business from University of Phoenix.
After 28 years doing international business with a large financial firm, Michael started Sign Mine, Inc. in 2002. Michael says “The original goal was to start a business where we could be a part of helping people and signs seemed to be a great focus. We quickly started expanding our focus to providing virtually anything that people needed for their branding.” The team went right into learning what other areas where they could expand, creating the company they are today.
The company philosophy can be easily stated in a single word..HELP. Graphics can be a confusing environment for most people. Michael and the team immediately thought that one of the best things they could do for their clients was to try to bridge the knowledge gap by ensuring that their clients get solid coaching on why certain graphics types are needed and which graphics are ‘artsy’ and which can be easily read and grab attention.
Over the years Michael worked with several suppliers to enable the acquisition of quality materials in several fields. Michael volunteered as an area assistant director for a large referral marketing organization, having the opportunity to train and coach several local area business persons in the art of referral marketing and relationship building. Michael has plans to expand the business into other areas as capabilities allow.
Michael is a martial arts practitioner and instructor. In the little time he has left he enjoys spending quiet time with his wife, sons and grandchildren.
